The Right Drink Can Help Save the Bees.

The Right Drink Can Help Save the Bees.

Barr Hill Gin, the perfect base for the Bee’s Knees cocktail, is partnering with bee and pollinator organizations to help save the bees and East End is excited to participate.

The phrase "bee's knees" was prohibition-era slang for "the best". This classic cocktail born from that era combines gin, lemon & honey.

From September 26 - October 1, $1 from each delicious Bee's Knees cocktail featuring Barr Hill Gin and local honey from the Marketplace's rooftop hives will go to Pollinator.org to promote the health of pollinators, critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research.

Why don't you have the brand I always order?

Why don't you have the brand I always order?

Why don't we stock some of the more well-know spirit brands? Well, we like to focus on the smaller-producers for a few reasons: They are passion-driven and hand's on every day (like-minded you might say). We can call on them with questions and they take our calls, some we can even have over for dinner. They are interested in what we are doing with their "babies" and care about how you all are enjoying their efforts. They tend to craft their product responsibly. These are the kind of folks we like to support, especially when what comes out of their bottles is so damn good.

So try an old favorite with a new "juice". We are always at the ready to hook you up with a new friend.

The Kids Are Alright

We got to play host to this great group from Kiddie Kampus Cooperative Preschool today. They toured our kitchens, learned about all the good that goes into making food at East End and then got to enjoy some pizza they made all by themselves! Chef Paul had a wonderful time with them and hopefully inspired a few future Chefs.
